Ditchling Road Poppies Brighton

Elham Valley Kent

One good thing with being on a road trip, staying in a hotel, you are more motivated to get outside rain or shine.  The rain and clouds had returned with a vengeance, after a break of one day along the north downs.  Based in Folkestone,  I decided to take a trip inland to the Elham Valley.

Nottingham Hill Cotswold Escarpment

I first set eyes upon Nottingham hill along the Cotswold Escarpment in Gloucestershire from a photo walk atop Oxenton Hill a few months prior.  It was the great views from the beer garden of the Mount Inn in Stanton just a few weeks ago that rekindled my interest in Nottingham Hill.
