A dinosaur footprint preserved in the sandstone rock platform on Bexhill Beach, East Sussex. The three-toed track dates to the Early Cretaceous period around 135 million years ago when this part of Sussex was a warm river floodplain rather than coastline. The footprint was formed when a dinosaur stepped into soft mud which later hardened and turned into rock. Coastal erosion has now exposed this ancient track surface along the Bexhill foreshore.
