Driving along the A21 to and from Hastings I could not help noticing the views and landscape around a small place called Johns Cross. So it was towards the end of April on a beautiful sunny weekend I decided to take a walk around the countryside of Johns Cross in East Sussex.

From Firle along the River Ouse
Studying OS maps online I was keen to walk and take landscape photographs of areas of the south downs that I had not visited yet living in east Sussex. Today would be a morning start over Firle Beacon and Itford Hill and then down along the river Ouse towards Lewes.
