Burgh wood waterfall hurst green

Tall sandstone ledge waterfall in woodland, Burgh Wood in the High Weald

The largest High Weald waterfall I’ve found so far — best visited soon after prolonged heavy rain.

A tall, rainfall-dependent waterfall dropping over a broad sandstone ledge in Burgh Wood. In wet conditions it becomes a strong curtain fall with multiple strands, but after a few dry days it can reduce to a thin trickle.
