The highlight of landscape photography during February 2022 was a road trip through the south west culminating in stormy weather at Dartmoor in Devon. Decided to leave work February 2022 so was a free man.

After Covid lockdowns and travel restrictions since 2020 – March 2022 was remembered for first trip abroad for a couple of years. This was a trip to Gambia on the west African coast and the beautiful endangered Bijilo forest.

April 2022

April marks the beginning of spring and woodlands on the high weald blooming with flora, something magical and captivating about woodland photography during springtime. The epitome of April woodland photography has to be bluebells.

If April 2022 was all about bluebells then June 2022 landscape photography was all about early summer flora Poppies. 2022 and the place to be for poppy fields was Ditchling road near Brighton.

July 2022

The height of summer and still waiting for a full recovery with my foot. Got out a lot though during July 2022 bikes rides from Camber sands to Dungeness, photographing butterflies in woodlands and by the river, but the landscape photo of the month was from Newtimber hill on the south downs in West Sussex.

August 2022

What is most memorable for me from August 2022 is that I returned to work and this time based in Amesbury Wiltshire. Mostly remote working but on the occasion I did have to travel into the office could hopefully combine it with a landscape photography outing somewhere in Wiltshire, at least during the summer months. The evening before my first day at work was spent on Martinsell hill on the Wessex downs.

Wiltshire comes tops again during September 2022. Those work trips to Wiltshire provide some unique opportunities. This time stopping off for the Autumn equinox sunset at Stonehenge. The Stonehenge website used this photo on their social media.

December 2022

December 2022 will definitely be mostly remembered from Kingston Ridge and the snowy winter wonderland views from there. Not to mention the terrifying driving conditions to get there.
