Rye Harbour Stormy Sunset

Castle Hill South Downs Hyperfocal

Living and working in east Sussex I have now covered most of the south downs between Eastbourne and Brighton.  I had one area left to scout the far side of the Castle Hill nature reserve near Woodingdean.

Scouting South Downs Kingston near Lewes

Another hot weekend here in east Sussex, too hot to be out in the midday sun.  The plan was to do an evening walk along a part of the South Downs I have not been yet.  Another escarpment the other side of the river Ouse that continues to Brighton.  Due to football I not make the evening walk so Sunday morning I went on a scouting trip along the South Downs starting off in Kingston near Lewes.

First day of May and the weather not look good, but decided to risk a five mile morning walk along Shakespeare Avon way and along Cleeve Hill in Worcestershire not to be confused with Cleeve hill in Gloucestershire.
