The memorial cross to Flying Officer Peter Guerin Crofts near Dallington, where the 22-year-old Hurricane pilot fell on 28 September 1940.

Memorial to Flying Officer Peter Guerin Crofts near Dallington in East Sussex. Crofts served with 605 Squadron RAF and was killed during the Battle of Britain on 28 September 1940 after bailing out of his Hurricane. The roadside cross marks the High Weald landscape close to where he came down.
