The memorial to Flight Lieutenant Reginald Frank Rimmer near Burwash, where his Hurricane crashed on 27 September 1940 during the Battle of Britain.

Memorial to Flight Lieutenant Reginald Frank Rimmer near Burwash in East Sussex. Rimmer served with 229 Squadron RAF and was killed on 27 September 1940 when his Hurricane was shot down near Franchise Manor during the Battle of Britain. The memorial preserves his connection with the High Weald landscape where he fell.
